After little sleep, rushing to finish costumes, and a bus ride later, I was finally in Baltimore! My mom and I got in at around 4 o'clock. When we got to the hotel, there was thankfully no lineup for check-in. Once upstairs, we were pleasantly surprised and happy with the room. It was gorgeous for the price we paid for it! I chose the bed I wanted and started getting ready for the pre-reg line. I was cosplaying as Kururu from Air Gear. I got down to the convention center by around 5:10. The line was long as usual, but I got through it in less than an hour.

There was an Air Gear gathering by the fountains outside at six. So after I got my badge, I headed off to the gathering. It wasn't as big as I would have liked it to be, but I was happy. I met a bunch of cool people, most notably another Kururu, a Kazu and an Akito/Agito that I hung out with for a bit more of the night. It started to pour, so the gathering was cut short unfortunately. Those that remained ran for cover under a building. While waiting for the rain to let up, a bunch of us playing the “anime alphabet game” where you go around a circle naming anime titles alphabetically.

Once the rain let up a bit, they all had to get their badges, so I joined them in the line for pre-reg. When we got to the building, I waited outside with an Ikki who had also already gotten his badge since I figured I probably couldn't go back up. A bit later, the Kururu and waiter!Tamaki came back down to get us. They were all sitting upstairs, so we went to join them.

The group of them needed to get back to the hotel to get ready for the Soul Eater gathering at 10. We were all coincidently at the same hotel, so I followed them up to their room. I told them I needed to go back to my room to finish sewing, and they asked if I'd go the JE gathering so we could meet up again. The Kururu and Kazu walked me back to my room, and we said our fairwells.

I was really happy I met some really cool people who liked a lot of the same series as I did. It made my Thursday all that much better. ^^
